Lyrics (sung to the tune of the Sloop John B)

We wait in the dinner queue

Vege curry or beef stew

The diet’s shot as I spy the cakes waiting too

Eating all night, bite after bite

I’ve been so well fed, don’t wanna go home

Chorus

So roll out the Tarpaulin

Dodge all the rain fallin’

Let the hail drown the singers out again

Don’t wanna go home

Quinty is home

Don’t want to hit the highway

Don’t wanna go home

The bush dance is coming up

I’m so full I think I might chuck

If they spin me round

The judges may have to duck

They fed me so much

For breakfast and lunch

I’ve over eaten

But don’t wanna go home

On this land for many thousands of years the traditional owners of Australia have celebrated and shared their culture through stories, songs, dance and music. For more than half a century the Uranquinty Folk Festival has similarly shared music and stories here on Wiradjuri country. We acknowledge the Wiradjuri and their elders, past, present and emerging who care for this country, and offer our respect and thanks to them. May music bring people of all cultures and countries together in harmony.
